Angela and family arrived in town to celebrate the end of the year with us, and they brought Alex with them. Finally the Littles have met all three of the Corrado "kids!" We spent the day playing around and enjoying each other's company.

While I acknowledge that I've gotten very far behind on blogging, I've made it a goal to catch up by the time the littles are 2 (which frighteningly is right around the corner!). And I've realized that by not blogging regularly, I'm forgetting some of their funny antics. Therefore, I'm sitting down to document their first conversation...well the first one I've been able to understand.

Today as I put one of Josie's shoes on, preparing to head out for a walk, Noah came up beside me and picked up her other shoe.
(Looking at me and then to Josie) Noah: "Help"
Me: "Okay, thank you Noah"
(Placing Josie's shoe at her foot) Noah to Josie: "Push"
Josie to Noah: "Too tight!"
Noah to Josie: "Come on!"

December 25, 2011 *Christmas Morning*

Josie and Noah as they see and explore their Christmas gift, first thing in the morning. This video is terribly dark for three reasons: 1) The littles wake up FAR too early in the morning. 2) We don't have any lamps in the room because we can't make them "child-proof." 3) I didn't think to bring in lamps, use the night-vision or whatever else might have made for a better video.

But, it captures the moment for the most part. It's a long and somewhat boring video, but it really is a testament to their little personalities: Noah greets all of us; Josie asks where Nonno is (which she continued to do until he woke up); Noah pushes Josie and she screams at him; Josie tells herself "bravo" when she successfully climbs out...

I'm aware that this post is completely self-indulgent, but I think it will be fun to look back on it with the kids in the future. And I know Nonna and Nonno will watch it over and over, even though they can only really listen to it.

Christmas Eve Fun

We had a wonderful (small and intimate for our family) dinner and Christmas Eve celebration. We were honored to have our newest member of the family, Alex, join us on his very first Christmas. Later that night, Bennett and got to experience the joy of becoming "Santa" while we got everything prepared for Josie and Noah to wake up on Christmas morning.
