Two of my good friends have taken on "Project 365" and have inspired me to do the same. Basically, the goal is to take one picture everyday for a year and to post the picture along with a brief description. It's been quite interesting and entertaining to follow these women's adventures and while I don't anticipate my posts to be as exciting as a new college grad or someone studying/traveling in Europe, I thought this would be a unique way to document the first year of the littles' lives. I can just about guarantee that this blog will not be updated daily and perhaps not even weekly, but I'll give it my best effort to post on a regular basis. My hope is that this will be a popular site for the grandparents, godparents, aunties, uncles, cousins, and friends of the littles and that this can be a fun way to watch them grow.

*November, 2011* We made it through the year, and I thought perhaps I'd try to redesign the blog for the future, intermittent updates. But, this twin mom is going to keep it simple and just keep going. Do not expect daily photos; we'll just post highlights from now on. Enjoy.

Bye-bye Bumbos

April 4, 2012
Time to pass on our bumbos to our twin friends Shira and Elai. Can't believe how much Josie and Noah have grown!

April's Potpourri

April 2012
(here are the photos of the month from the smartphone)

Enjoying the sidewalk chalk at their first Easter Egg hunt.

What I consider to be Josie's first true curl.

Noah lounging in the toy box, because just getting to watch TV isn't quite enough.

First time with milk in our cold cereal, rather than as a side. (They did pretty well.)

SSU Alumna Playdate

March 30, 2012
Got together with some local friends and fellow "Cossacks." I was the genius who forgot to take a photo until the end of our time together. Poor Poppy wasn't pleased, but she was a trooper.

Dad's Home

March 22, 2012
Bennett arrived home after being away for 4 days on a work trip. Clearly he was missed.

Ranch Day

March 21, 2012
A friend and fellow twin mom invited us out to her family ranch. Noah was a little bit intimidated by the sheep, but Josie got right in there with them and we all enjoyed a picnic in beautiful Petaluma.

Goodbye High Chairs

March 17, 2012
One final snack in their high chairs and the Littles are officially sitting at the table. We thought "molo" was a fitting first meal (and, although not Irish, it's green).

Then Nonno arrived just in time to tuck them in (and he wanted a photo to send to Nonna to make her jealous :)).

Best birthday ever

March 14, 2012
If 33 is anything like my birthday was, it's going to be a fantastic year. In the morning, two of my best friends, Sarah and Krista, treated the Littles and I to a new adventure at the California Academy of Sciences. It was truly awesome to experience it through Josie and Noah's eyes - what an incredible gift. And despite the crowds, I wasn't worried about losing one of them because we (the adults) outnumbered the Littles. That night, Auntie Karina stayed with the Littles so Ben and I could have a date night. Didn't get a piece of pie on Pi day, but it was almost a perfect day.

Change in the routine

March 12, 2012
And with the change in the routine comes family dinners where we can all sit down at the same time. Will it last?

Shades

March 5, 2012
We're ready for summer!

Season Opener

March 4, 2012
Time to dust off the helmets and hop into the bike trailer. I can't believe how much the kiddos have grown in a year. Last year the helmets were practically bigger than they were.

March Hodgepodge

Here are the randoms from March 2012

Josie insists on food facials. At least she gets some of it in her mouth.

Hanging out in Mom and Dad's bed lead to the Littles falling in love with the Tempurpedic. Now whenever we open our bedroom door we hear, "Bed? Bed?"

First snack-time at their little table. Not being tied-down didn't turn into a complete disaster and I think they enjoyed the change in routine.

Rainy day visit at Dad's school. Bennett walked just about every hall showing the Littles off.

Cousin Morgan and Auntie-Ice (Iris) came for a visit and spoiled us rotten!

Wanted to send Bennett picture while he was at work and when I said "say cheese for Daddy" this is the result.

I had to put Josie and Noah in their hand-me-down jumpers they received from their twin cousins Annabelle and Juliette before Noah grew out of his. As you can see, matching twin outfits need to come in different sizes.

Josie and Noah are becoming much more affectionate with one another. And it makes taking walks with them a little more simpler when I know they are sticking together rather than running in opposite directions.

 It's a jump-house. It's a fort.

33

February 23, 2012
Happy birthday Dad and thank you Mr Stirrat for our matching Jamaica t-shirts.

Grandpa!

February 19, 2012
No one gets them laughing quite like grandpa.

Fun Day

February 19, 2012
...with Grandma, Grandpa and Auntie Abby.

Valentine's Day

February 14, 2012
Josie and Noah sharing the love. You may recognize the shirt on Josie as she wore it on Valentine's Day 2011.

Noah doesn't like to have anything on his hands, and much to his dismay, his new Valentine's puppy shed.

Rain boots

February 12, 2012
Some of you may think we're cruel...but she had to learn how to walk in them. (By the way, eventually she loved them and asked for "boot" every morning on our way out - rain or shine.)

Also, Josie and Noah are not wearing pants in the video because they choose to take them off every afternoon. And at the time of filming, Josie was still learning the difference between "on" and "off".
